Practical Life area helps develop coordination, concentration, order, and personal independence. Many are fundamental exercises that the child needs to master to be able to live comfortably in the real adult world.
Sensorial area is designed to educate and refine the child’s senses. Sensorial materials help the child train himself to observe, make comparisons, to form judgments, to reason or decide. Working in the sensorial area helps the child develop organization and patterning skills which are important for reading and math.
Language and Reading development starts with letter phonetics, listening to beginning sounds and vocabulary. A high quality reading program at Bare Foot allows children to explore the reading world with excitement. There is no limit on what a child can read!
Math includes “Hands-on” material which develop logically from concrete to abstract, and simple to complex. Simple Meaning: numbers 1-20,. Complex Meaning: + – x ÷ into thousand!
